June      - Morrocan Berber dance
Have you heard this rhythm and wondered how one might dance to the earthy sound of the drums?   
Looking for new moves or simply a challenge?  The first portion of this seminar will be understanding
the definition of Berber dances and how it differs from Rai.  There will be a cultural and historical
lesson. The second portion of the seminar,  we will dance to the rhythm, use new movements, and
learn zill patterns to go along with the rhythm. We will put these together into an ethnic routine.
(Beginners who want a challenge and Intermediate level.)
Time: 9:30AM-11:30PM.

July      - Everybody Debke!
Debkes are found in many regions of teh Middle East. Come for a day of fun as you experiement
with different Debke styles from around the world. Learn what debke music is and how to identify its
sound.  No special props needed.
(Beginner and Intermediate levels.)
Time: 9:30AM-11:30PM.

August      - Zar dances of the Middle East
Zar is one of the most misunderstood dances in American bellydance culture. If you are interested in
expanding your historical knowledge and culture, you will be interested in this seminar. The only
requirement is that you come with an open mind. The first portion of this seminar will be
understanding the Zar dance. Video footage will be shown. The second portion of the seminar,  we
will dance to the rhythm, use new movements, and learn zill patterns to go along with the rhythm.
We will put these together into a zar routine.
(Beginners who want a challenge and Intermediate level.)

August  - It is a Bellydance Bon fire!
Helena’s end of Summer Kickoff. Come with all you have learned through the summer series!  
Dance to live musicians around a camp fire. This is your chance to let loose and try your skills.  
There will be scheduled fire dances. Contact Helena if you are a professional dancer and would like
to perform with your fire prop/prop. All dance styles welcome. Pot luck dinner will be planned.
Location: Route 10 Body Shoppe Mohnton PA
Time: Begins at 6:30 until????
Cost: Those who have registered for at least 2 summer sessions pay $7.00 plus a potluck item. Those
who have registered for 3 sessions pay $5.00 plus pot luck item. Guests, children and significant
others pay $10.00.  Family party until 8:30PM,  please.
